Triple Threat Athletics offers several opportunities for youth to develop themselves, including, but not limited to:
Study and Skills – Students will be presented with the opportunity to not only elevate their games but elevate their minds as well. Study and skills will implement the idea of Student- Athletes; STUDENT ALWAYS COMES FIRST. These events will begin with a study session in a designated classroom with tutors for whomever may need them. When our study session is complete we will move our attention to the basketball court where we focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game and the right way to play basketball.
Study and Skills are held during the first and third Saturdays of each school month from 10 am until 1 pm. The third Saturday also includes a controlled scrimmage. Snacks will be provided. Investment for one (1) Saturday: $20. Investment for two (2) Saturdays: $35.
*After grace period, students with D's and lower will be put on academic probation*
Basketball Camps – We offer monthly intensive basketball camps throughout the year. These camps will provide opportunities for further basketball training by experienced instructors with a wealth of valuable knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for the game. These activities will prepare kids who desire to go further in organized team basketball in school. These camps will include devotionals that will develop character, integrity, discipline, moral values, parental respect, etc. Along with development of character, the camps also promote the enhancement of skills such as: ball handling, shooting, passing, conditioning, defense, and many more. The camps are held on a Friday and Saturday from 10 am until 3 pm each day. Investment: $60.
Hoops for Purpose Basketball League – Competition and the desire to win (on court/field and in life) are essential elements of Triple Threat. This is based on our belief that competition is an important part of player development and that playing to win is an important part of competition. Triple Threat offers intensive opportunities for participants to learn the nuances of a sport through frequent competitive tournaments. We recognize, however, that the level of competition and playing to win will vary based on age, league, season, etc. We provide and schedule league play through participants according to their age range. Teams use NBA mascot names. T-shirts are provided through enrollment costs. Trophies and awards are presented at an end-of-season banquet dinner.
This is a six (6) –week basketball tournament (not including playoffs). Games are held on Saturday between 9 am and 12 noon. Students practice one hour per week. Students will study and receive tutoring prior to their games. Morning snacks and other concessions will be available. Investment: $175.
